Women on the Water
Set sail on a transformative adventure of empowerment, skill‑building, and camaraderie with our W.O.W (Women on the Water) sailing experience. Designed exclusively for women, this program invites you to discover the joy of sailing while building confidence, mastering new skills, and forming lasting friendships.
Whether you’re stepping aboard for the first time or looking to elevate your sailing abilities, our experienced coaches will support you every nautical mile. The course is divided into two engaging 3‑hour sessions: beginning with a relaxed social outing on an auxiliary‑powered cruising sailboat, followed by a hands‑on day aboard a Hobie® Wave catamaran - designed to get you sailing independently on the waters of Green Bay.Click for Open Sessions
Cost:
$70 per person for the two-day series
Day 1
- Eyeglasses or sunglasses - with holder strap/cord
- A completed and signed waiver
- Sunscreen
- We provide life jackets however, students may bring their own if they wish. (All privately owned lifejackets are subject to inspection and approval of Green Bay Sail & Paddle Staff)
Day 2
- Old tennis shoes or closed-toe water shoes are required to be worn at all times to protect your feet.
- Eyeglasses or sunglasses - with holder strap/cord
- Sunscreen
- Swimming suit or clothes that can get wet
- Towel and dry clothes
- Water bottle full of water/ beverage and snack
- We provide life jackets however, students may bring their own if they wish. (All privately owned lifejackets are subject to inspection and approval of Green Bay Sail & Paddle Staff)

Directions for Day 1:
Take Hwy I-41 north to Suamico to exit #176, exiting to the right on Sunset Beach Road. After driving around a mile, you will come to the intersection of North Lakeview Drive and Sunset Beach Road. Take a left at this intersection and then drive around a mile until you come to Resort Road. After driving a mile and a half down Resort Road, take a left onto Channel Road and Windjammers Sailing Club will be at the end of the road.
Directions for Day 2:
The marina is at the west end of Bay Beach Rd, past the Zippin Pippin. To find SOUTH BAY, take HWY I-43 to exit #187 (Webster Ave), go north to Irwin St. and take a left on Irwin, which then turns into Bay Beach Rd. We are the last entrance on the right. Look for the SOUTH BAY Marina sign.
When you enter the marina follow the signs that say Green Bay Sail & Paddle.

Classes may be canceled and/or rescheduled at the discretion of Green Bay Sail & Paddle Inc. (“GBSP”) due to weather conditions and/or general concern of the participants and/or any and all Green Bay Sail & Paddle Inc. staff and volunteers. Classes that do not meet the minimum number of registrants may be rescheduled. GBSP will attempt to notify all registrants by email and/or telephone of cancellations 24 to 48 hours prior to commencement.
For the safety of everyone, we ask that if you have or had a fevor in the past 48 hours that you do not come to class. We will do our best to rescheule you to a later class. You may be asked to leave if you do not abide by these safety guidelines. Refunds will not be given to any participant for failure to comply with any and all safety guidelines.
