This is a fun, introductory sailing session using a "quick-start" method of learning to sail Hobie® Wave catamarans. In a short period of time students participating in our introductory sailing lesson are out on the waters of Green Bay sailing on their own. On days where there is no wind, you may have the opportunity to experience kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding. For those days when our staff has to make the decision that the weather outside simply isn't safe to be on the water your class will be moved into our indoor classroom where you will enjoy several sailing related activities. We encourage individual growth by challenging one’s self all while fostering a love for the water and sailing. We look forward to enjoying a fun and safe day on the water with you!
The core of this program is sailing, however, we can customize a program to meet the needs of your group. Typically a smaller group will be more educational in nature and a larger group is more social. This program is based off our Intro to Sailing course, however, if your group has sailing experience we can adjust our programing. Or if you like, your group can rotate through sailing, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
Following the "on the water" portion your group is welcome to enjoy food and drinks at Louie’s Lagoon, located less than 50 yards from the beach. Depending on the time of your event we can make a bonfire on the beach for your group to enjoy and make s’mores.
Note: you must have your Photo Id to purchase alcoholic drinks at Louie's Lagoon. Louie's Lagoon reserves the right to deny service of alcoholic drinks to any and all individuals at their sole discretion.
