Interested in sailing but looking for sailing instruction that is better tailored to you? We can do that! Private lessons may be taught as a private (one-on-one) lesson or a semi-private lesson (up to four) students. Green Bay Sail & Paddle, Inc. reserves the right to limit a semi-private lesson to two (2) students. Several factors such as age and experience shall be taken into account when a semi-private lesson is scheduled. We take pride in ensuring a safe and fun learning environment for each and every student.

Each private lesson shall be a minimum of two (2) hours in length. The cost of private lessons will vary depending on if the private lesson is held when one of our other sessions is occurring.
Lessons During Regularly Scheduled Programming:
The cost shall be $50 and hour per boat with a maximum of two people on a boat (not including the instructor) and up to two boats per lesson.
$50.00 X 2 hour minimum = $100.00 per lesson for one boat ($200.00 per lesson for two boats)
Lessons Outside of Regularly Scheduled Programming:
The cost shall be $150.00 an hour for the first boat and $50.00 an hour per additional boat with a maximum of two boats per lesson. Each boat may have up to two (2) people per boat.
$150.00 X 2 hour minimum = $300.00 per lesson for one boat ($400.00 per lesson for two boats)
What to bring:
- Face mask or buff to wear while on shore or while in close contact with others on the water
- Old tennis shoes or water shoes are required to be worn at all times to protect your feet.
- A completed & signed waiver
- Swimming suit
- Dry clothes
- Water bottle full of water/ beverage
- We provide life jackets however, students may bring their own if they wish. (All privately owned lifejackets are subject to inspection and approval of Green Bay Sail & Paddle Staff)

The marina is at the west end of Bay Beach Rd, past the Zippin Pippin roller coaster. To find SOUTH BAY, take HWY I-43 to exit #187 (Webster Ave), go north to Irwin St. and take a left on Irwin which then turns into Bay Beach Rd. We are the last entrance on the right. Look for the SOUTH BAY Marina sign.
When you enter the marina follow the signs that say Green Bay Sail & Paddle.
Lessons may be canceled and/or rescheduled at the discretion of Green Bay Sail & Paddle Inc. (“GBSP”) due to weather conditions and/or general concern of the participants and/or any and all Green Bay Sail & Paddle Inc. staff and volunteers. Classes that do not meet the minimum number of registrants may be rescheduled. GBSP will attempt to notify all registrants by email and/or telephone of cancellations 24 to 48 hours prior to commencement.
