Registration for the following classes will be through the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes. Summer 2023 event dates are:
STEM & Sailing - June 20th- 9am to 2pm
Combine the fun of sailing while learning the STEM behind it. At this event scouts will split their day between sailing and STEM. During the sailing portion scouts will be participating in our introductory sailing lesson and in a short period of time they will be out on the water sailing on their own. During the STEM portion scouts will be learning about how marine debris enters our waterways, how to reduce the plastic pollution in our waterways, the mechanics behind how a sailboat works, what makes a sailboat move through the water, designing, building, and testing their own sailboat using recyclable materials. Scouts participating in this event will earn the following merit badge.

Intro to Sailing - August 10th - 9am to Noon
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors, experience a fun introductory sailing session! In a short period of time, Girl Scouts are out on the waters of Green Bay sailing on their very own. Fresh air and being on the water, it doesn't get much better than that! Learn from the experts at Green Bay Sail & Paddle how to sail Hobie Wave Catamarans. We encourage individual growth by challenging oneself all while fostering a love for the water and sailing. We look forward to enjoying a fun and safe day on the water with you! This event is in person. Girls will earn a sailing fun patch.
