Winter STEM Classes

Are you looking for something for your kids to do on the weekends during the winter? Our STEM Classes are perfect Saturday afternoon activity for children ages 8 to 13. Proof of age may be required the first day of class. Each student will have the opportunity to learn STEM through sailing by participating in on shore activities under the supervision of our certified instructors.

You may register for all six workshops and save $25. Each class contains a portion of one of the modules taught in our weeklong summer STEM Camps.

$175 per person (all 5 classes, save $25)
$40 per person (individual class registration)

All class curriculums are based off of modules from US Sailing's Reach Program which is currently being used our weeklong STEM Summer Camps.  Each class will touch on a portion of various modules taught during our weeklong STEM Summer Camps. Students will learn the How? and Why? of sailing.

What to bring:
  • Water bottle full of water/ beverage 
  • CDC is currently recommending that masks be worn indoors.  At this time all in person participants must wear a mask while indoors or while within six feet of another person while outoors. This policy shall be in effect regardless of vaccination status.

The marina is at the west end of Bay Beach Rd, past the Zippin Pippin roller coaster. To find SOUTH BAY, take HWY I-43 to exit #187 (Webster Ave), go north to Irwin St. and take a left on Irwin, which then turns into Bay Beach Rd. We are the last entrance on the right. Look for the SOUTH BAY Marina sign.

When you enter the marina follow the signs that say Green Bay Sail & Paddle.

Classes may be canceled and/or rescheduled at the discretion of Green Bay Sail & Paddle Inc. (“GBSP”) due to weather conditions and/or general concern of the participants and/or any and all Green Bay Sail & Paddle Inc. staff and volunteers. Classes that do not meet the minimum number of registrants may be rescheduled.  GBSP will attempt to notify all registrants by email and/or telephone of cancellations 24 to 48 hours prior to commencement.
